Scarlet Runner Wins Pacific Cup Grand Slam / Invisible Hand Takes Line Honours

The Pacific Cup is a biennial 2,070 nm race from the beautiful coastline of San Francisco to the lush, tropical paradise of Kaneohe, Hawaii.

(July 18th 2014) – Frank Slootman’s San Francisco based R/P 63 Mini Maxi Invisible Hand (pictured below / © Richter) was the Elapsed time winner and 3rd in Class of 2014 Pacific Cup with an course time of 6 days:22:4:11.

(July 19th, 2014) – Rob Date’s R/P 52 Melbourne based Scarlett Runner won overall the 2014 Pacific Cup, winning the Latitude 38 Performance Award and taking 1st place in ORR with a course time of 7 days:14:25:18.

Invisible Hand, formerly Limit, was built by Mal Hart Marine in Melbourne, Australia. It is a sistership to Loki, which won the Sydney-Hobart overall in 2011 and 2nd overall in 2012.

Scarlett Runner was built by Composite Constructions of Melbourne, Australia.
