RP68 To Launch This Fall From Baltic Yachts Shipyard

May 20, 2016

This past week two RP team members traveled to the Baltic Yachts Shipyard in Jakobstad, Finland to visually inspect the build progress of the RP68. This performance cruiser has been designed for a repeat RPYD customer and will be sailing in the waters off Southern California. The design features an aft transom deck for easy access to the water and transfer to the tender.RP-B68 Plan Profile

For this project RPYD is responsible for the Naval Architecture, Deck and General Arrangement and Structural Engineering. Naval Architect and Project Manager Tony Beale and Lead Engineer Dan Flanigan were on site to complete the detailed visual inspection and documentation of the as built internal structure, hull and deck laminates.

We would like to thank everyone at Baltic Yachts for the excellent hospitality (including the traditional Finnish sauna experience) and assistance during our visit that helped make this trip a great success and highly beneficial to the project.

The team looks forward to the next trip for the launch and sea trials of this exceptional new build expected in October 2016.
