Queensland, AUS (March 31, 2018) – Congratulations to Black Jack Yachting (Reichel/Pugh 100) for slicing 3.5 hours off the previous record by setting a new course time of 00:16:53:57 in the historic 70th edition of the race. The Brisbane to Gladstone is a 308nm race held annually on Good Friday and is hosted by the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club. The sixty-nine-year history of the race has made it one of Australia’s flagship offshore races. It is an icon of Queensland and the highest profile Easter Weekend sporting event setting sail from Moreton Bay on Good Friday annually.
